On 26 November 2015, at the InfoEurope Center in Bucharest, there was organized the conference of the project “Ready Set Go!”- Increasing Early Childhood Development Outcomes for Roma Children. Focusing on the benefits of quality pre-school education, the project conference offered the opportunity for the local stakeholders to debate on the importance of early childhood education for Roma communities and on sharing best-practices and educational experiences, including the experiences of the Roma Education Fund (REF) in the field of education.

The goal of the project “Ready Set Go!” is to increase early childhood development outcomes for Roma children from Romania’s most disadvantaged communities, children who are not enrolled in kindergarten. The project operates in 11 localities, where 14 new kindergarten places will be established. Apart from offering education-related services to the children in the selected kindergartens, the project will focus also on additional educational programs, targeting the caregivers of the children in the kindergartens and the communities in which the kindergarten places function.
